Kansas Teachers Community Credit Union Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions

These stipulated terms and conditions serve as a legally binding contract ("Agreement") between the undersigned individual and Kansas Teachers Community Credit Union ("Credit Union") for the utilization of the Mobile Banking Services ("Services") and associated Software ("Software"). The undersigned individual, hereinafter referred to as "User," acknowledges that acceptance of these terms is contingent upon the understanding and adherence to all clauses outlined below, in addition to any previous arrangements that may have been entered into concerning the underlying electronic banking and bill payment services. It is imperative for the User to peruse and comprehend these provisions, as they delineate the parameters that govern the User's utilization of the Mobile Banking Services. The Credit Union retains the prerogative to enact modifications to these terms at its sole discretion. It is noted that standard messaging charges may be applicable.

Terms and Conditions

Program and Encompassing Features

The Credit Union extends its invitation for User to access various facets of their account via the Services, which encompass, inter alia, account balance checks, perusal of recent transaction records, and the configuration of notifications – or alerts – tailored to the User's account activities. The onboarding process for this program necessitates the verification of User's banking affiliation with the Credit Union and the submission of a valid mobile phone number. Verification transpires through the conveyance of a verification code via Short Message Service (SMS), to be subsequently entered by the User on the designated interface. Post verification, Users have the autonomy to personalize their alert settings in accordance with their financial requisites. Importantly, this program is designed for perpetual continuity, with Users retaining the autonomy to opt out of participation at their discretion.

Addressing Queries and Support

For the expeditious resolution of queries and the provision of necessary support regarding the Mobile Banking Services, Users are encouraged to avail themselves of the communication channels offered by the Credit Union. These include electronic mail (managment@kstcu.org) and a dedicated telephonic interface (620-231-5719).

Discontinuation of Program Participation

Users contemplating the termination of their participation in the program are accorded the prerogative to effectuate such a cessation. Following the initiation of this cessation, all further communication shall desist forthwith.

Availability and Service Limitations

While robust endeavors are exercised to ensure uninterrupted access to the Services and Software, Users are apprised of the inherent probability of exigencies beyond the purview of the Credit Union. Notwithstanding this, the Credit Union remains unwavering in its commitment to minimize service disruptions and deliver an uninterrupted user experience.

Privacy and User Data Handling

To uphold the highest standards of privacy and data security, Users are advised that, in consonance with their engagement with the Services, the Credit Union and its affiliates may engage in the collection, interchange, and acquisition of a spectrum of data categories. This corpus of information encompasses, but is not limited to, names, addresses, passcodes, and the content of transmitted messages. While exercising the highest degree of diligence in the custodianship of this information, it is hereby underscored that its utilization is confined to the extent necessary to facilitate optimal Services provision and ensure compliance with prevailing legal mandates.

Duty of Responsible Utilization

In solemn observance of these terms, Users undertake an unequivocal commitment to engage with the Services and Software in a responsible and ethical manner. This entails the unequivocal undertaking to abstain from any actions that transgress into the domains of illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized conduct. Users are explicitly obligated to adhere to the tenets of applicable statutes, edicts, and regulations, encompassing but not limited to, Internet, data, telecommunications, telemarketing, and data privacy laws.

Integration of Biometric Authentication Mechanisms

The Mobile Banking Services incorporate an elective Biometric Authentication facet, which encompasses compatibility with select Android® and Apple® iOS devices equipped with facial recognition technology, notably Face ID. Users opting to activate this feature grant authorization for their facial biometric data to be employed for account access, thereby accentuating the dimension of convenience in their banking interactions. Users are apprised that their facial biometric data is exclusively stored on their respective devices, with no visibility or involvement on the part of the Credit Union in the storage or transmission of said data.

Supplementary Card Controls Provisions

In instances where Users possess a debit card linked to the Credit Union, access to the Card Controls component via the Mobile Banking App may be extended. This feature empowers Users with the capability to exercise control over and regulate their debit card utilization. Users are earnestly urged to familiarize themselves with the additional terms governing this feature, which contribute to a comprehensive understanding of its attributes and functionalities.

Limitation of Liability and Fiduciary Role

The Credit Union, in its earnest endeavor to furnish seamless Services, acknowledges the plausible existence of irregularities, inaccuracies, or delays. Under such circumstances, the Credit Union's cumulative liability remains encapsulated within the confines of a capped quantum not exceeding $500 for claims arising from the Services. This delineation of liability is emblematic of the Credit Union's unwavering commitment to the safeguarding of User data and the unswerving adherence to Service integrity.

Regulatory Preeminence and Legal Jurisdiction

These terms inhabit the jurisdiction of the prevailing legal statutes of the User's domicile state. In the event that incongruities arise between these terms and applicable state or federal law, the latter shall assert ascendancy.

Alerts Regulatory Framework

The subsequent section serves as a dedicated exposition of the procedural framework governing the transmission and oversight of Alerts within the domain of the Mobile Banking Services.

Data Analytics and Utilization Information

In a concerted endeavor to enhance User experience, the Credit Union reserves the prerogative to partake in the collection and meticulous analysis of data pertaining to User interaction with the Mobile Banking Services. This data-driven analytical initiative is propelled by the aspiration to elevate service quality, engender user satisfaction, and advance the paradigms of financial engagement.

By persisting in the utilization of Kansas Teachers Community Credit Union's Mobile Banking Services, the User signifies their comprehensive comprehension and unequivocal acquiescence to these entrenched terms and conditions.
