Membership

The Kansas Teachers Community Credit Union (KTCCU) was chartered in November of 1949, originally serving the teachers of Pittsburg State University.

Initially, the credit union operated out of the College Book Store, with P.A. Hoberholtzer, the founder and first member, overseeing its operations. It later moved to 105 W. 5th Street in Pittsburg, where the first full-time manager, Al Blom, was hired. After Mr. Blom’s retirement in 1983, Henry Buset took over as manager and served until 2002. During Mark Kolarik’s tenure as President, the credit union expanded its field of membership to include residents of a specific trade area. Today, KTCCU operates five branches located in Southeast Kansas, serving members across 52 counties.

Under the continued leadership of Elesa Parsons, the KTCCU’s mission is to be a sound, quality driven organization that provides the most desirable financial services for community members while safeguarding their assets.
