Saddle up for smarter saving
Remember tossing spare coins into a change jar at the end of the day? While the days of pocket change might be fading, the habit of saving it does not have to disappear. That is where Savings Jar, our round-up savings program, comes in.
Every time you make a purchase with your KTCCU debit card, we round it up to the next whole dollar and “corral” the extra change into a savings account of your choice. No matter what you are saving for — a new truck, a vacation, or just a little peace of mind — your spare change can help you get there, one roundup at a time.
How it Works
Next time you grab a coffee at your local coffee shop or fill up your tank at the corner station, tip your hat — not only are you supporting a local business, but you are growing your savings, too! The extra change from your purchase rides straight into your savings account without you having to think about it. It just makes CENTS!

Enrollment
Savings Jar requires that you are enrolled in eStatements and have a valid email address on file to receive notifications. Please make sure you are signed up for eStatements and you have a valid email address before completing your Savings Jar enrollment.
You can then choose one of the following ways to enroll in Savings Jar:
- Online Banking: Log in, go to Member Services, select Savings Jar, and toggle the switch to opt in. First, choose the savings account where you want your round-ups deposited. Next, click/tap Add Round Up Account and select the checking account to round up from. Finally, click Save to complete enrollment.
- Mobile Banking App: Open the app, find Savings Jar in the menu, and toggle to enroll. Select your destination savings account first. Then click/tap Add Round Up Account and select your checking account. Tap Save to finish enrollment.
- In Branch: Visit any KTCCU branch and a team member will help you get set up.
- By Phone: Call us during business hours and we will walk you through the process.
